Matt Cubeta, of NHL.com, looks at their recently released fantasy hockey rankings and gives some reasons for why certain players were placed where.
Henrik Lundqvist is the highest ranking goalie and he thinks that Hank will put up a season of 40+ wins on an “improved Rangers team with an elite defensive core.”
For Rick Nash, he writes that even while Nash’s numbers have gone down, playing on a contending team in his prime should lead to a 40 goal season.
Marian Gaborik is projected to end up around 28 goals and 65 points if he plays in at least 65 games.
For Brad Richards, Cubeta writes “a more comfortable second year in NY and centering an elite goal-scoring Nash could make him a point-per-game player again.”
69% of readers think that Nash will end up between 30 and 40 goals.
