In the Penguins win over the Devils today, via PHT, Patrik Elias was assessed a holding penalty for taking down Sidney Crosby.
While speaking with Tom Gulitti after the game, Elias didn’t dispute that he was called for the penalty, but had some questions about how Sidney Crosby fell to the ice.
“I read he’s as strong as ever and I’m not that strong to throw him down like that. …He looked like I kicked his feet out. I didn’t like the way he went down.”
Henrik Lundqvist and Crosby were jawing at each other for most of Thursday night. Lundqvist thought that Crosby should have been called for goalie interference at one point,
