Marian Gaborik has three goals in his last four games and six points in his last six games.
Gaborik has 22 shots in those games and has points in five of six games against the Capitals.
At ESPN.com, Scott Burnside writes that the Rangers need Gaborik to be a game breaker if they want to win and continue on their march towards the Stanley Cup.
Gaborik is primarily matched up against Karl Alzner and John Carlson on defense with a combination of Matt Hendricks, Troy Brouwer, Joel Ward or Jay Beagle.
Of the three shots on goal that Gaborik had in the last game, two were below the circles, right in front of Braden Holtby, and his goal was above the circles.
Adam: Going through the shot charts from the past few games show that Gaborik is in the right positions on the ice, close to the net, and getting his shots there. Gaborik has scored big goals for the Rangers this season, and did so in the triple OT game last week, but the Rangers are really going to need him tomorrow. The Caps have their top defensive guys going against his line, which makes it tough, but he needs to find a way to get some space and convert.
