On Tuesday in Boston and last night against the Islanders, the Rangers blew leads of 3-0 and 2-0 and the game ended up going to a shootout.
The Rangers won in Boston and lost to the Islanders and John Tortorella said during the post game show that they are looking at the positive side of things, “We get three of four points. Tonight we had a number of guys struggle and we found a way to get a point. We don’t leave here naked. I’m not going to run them down. I thought we had some good moments in that game.”
Tortorella added, “I am happy we grinded it out to get a point. We take the point and try to get better as a club.’
Marty Biron also noted how it isn’t a good thing for the Rangers to blow leads like they have, but at the same time they picked up three of a possible four points.
Marc Staal said on MSG that he isn’t that worried about the past two games, “I don’t think it’s concern. I think it’s mental focus. You can’t take shifts off. You need to stay sharp and make sure we are on top of our game for the entire 60 minutes.”
