During the offseason, the Rangers lost Brandon Prust to Montreal (where he signed a contract that 80% of readers are happy the Rangers didn’t match), Ruslan Fedotenko to the Flyers and John Mitchell to Colorado.

The team lost Brandon Dubinsky, Tim Erixon, Artem Anisimov and their first round pick this year due to trade.

To replace Fedotenko, the Rangers signed Taylor Pyatt.

To replace John Mitchell, the Rangers signed Jeff Halpern.

To replace Brandon Prust, the Rangers signed Arron Asham and Michael Haley.

The Rangers also acquired Rick Nash via trade from the Blue Jackets.
