So far during the playoffs, the Rangers have won every game that they have played where they have scored three or more goals.
After scoring three goals in game one against the Capitals, the Rangers have only managed two in each of the last three games.
On MSG Saturday, Dave Maloney said that winning will come down to, “can you get the goal when you need it?”
Ryan Callahan said to ESPN NY that getting pucks to the net is a high priority number for this team, “We have to shoot the puck more and create more offense and the only way we’re going to do that is to get pucks to the net. It’s definitely something we need to improve on and get more of.”
Callahan added that the team can’t get frustrated and John Tortorella said the team needs to get more pucks in the crease.
Brad Richards told NHL.com, “I don’t think he’s (Holtby) had to stand on his head too often. We’re more worried about what we have to do. Get more at him and then see where it goes from there.”
Adam: All the Rangers have to do is watch a video of where they have scored their goals. They need to work the puck down low and if they take shots from above the circles, they need to crash the net for rebounds.
