Read: Expect Carl Hagelin To Hear About His “Stupid Penalties”

Tortorella 24/719 seconds into the season, Carl Hagelin took an interference penalty. In the third period Hagelin was called for hooking Brad Marchand.

Later on in the first, with the Rangers on the power play, Brian Boyle was called for goalie interference and had another two minutes tacked on for arguing with the referee.

Following the game, on Hockey Night Live, John Tortorella talked about how taking penalties hurt the Rangers and singled out Hagelin and Boyle,”Haggy takes a stupid penalty, takes another one later in the game. Brian takes a yapping penalty, along with, and that is a penalty with the goalie, so he should shut his damn mouth. It is a game of momentum and it certainly gave them that. ”

When asked by Steve Serby, in the NY Post, to describe John Tortorella, Hagelin said, “A coach that really gets the best out of his players. He’s on you no matter what your position is or how good you are. He’s gonna be on you if you’re doing something wrong, he’s gonna be on you if you’re doing something right. It’s easy to play for him in terms of you know what he expects from you, and if you do that, he’s happy.”

Bill Bellacheat and Shady Tom Brady won the Stuperbowl, so they don't care.

I hope they swallow up their stolen rings - ALL of THEM

Take all the New England patriots super bowl Trophys and the rings and patriots don't get no draft picks for 50 years

Have him throw with his left hand for the season.

Brady should be suspended for every AFC East game.

Fines are meaningless.

I wonder what the PGA would have done if Tiger Woods or Rory McElroy, for instance, had played with an illegal ball(s) or driver after winning the FedX Championship or the PGA Championship? For me, the Patriots continual cheating and the NFL not treating them as habitual offenders (cheaters) will eventually cost the league their integrity as the most successful sports league. Fans will move on because they are either addicted to football or by forgetting about it they hope everything they have trusted with the NFL is OK. Well' everything is not OK. Sadly, in today's NFL you can cheat repeatedly and still keep your trophy. At least that's not what I taught my kindergartners when I was teaching.

The Patriots didn't need to cheat. They beat up on the Colts. The Patriots also took care of business against the Seahawks. I am a huge Giants fan defending the Patriots. Whether or not the Footballs were deflated they played the best football. If Seattle handed the ball to Marshawn Lynch I think He would of scored a touchdown. Seattle blew it and threw the inside slant. The Patriots with the interception to secure the win. Woody Johnson also shouldn't have talked about wanting Revis when He was still a Patriot. Let's Go Giants get back to the playoffs and Championship football. Hopefully another win over the Jets. Big Blue fan since 1979. The Giants for life.

George, maybe you would like to chip in and help the Patriots pay the 25k fine.

You are delusional. For most games, a couple/few plays make the difference between a win or loss. There were many plays before the pick that could have changed the outcome of that game. Having only played up through high school football, I can tell you there is a huge difference between a slightly under inflated ball and a regularly inflated ball. I loved a slightly under inflated ball. I was more accurate and just had a better grip. I also felt more confident. Remember it is a game of inches and a couple/few more accurate pass can make the difference between a win or loss.

Lastly, give me a break on Woody's comments. It was an innocent slip. Can't compare to all the Pats cheating in the past and present. You really think the asst equipment manager decided to underinflate the balls without direction from Brady? If you do, I have a bridge to sell you that connects lower Manhattan to Brooklyn.

-Biased Giants fan who hates the Jets to the point of  defending the Patridiots.

Sir,  Woody was asked in a press conference if he'd want Revis back.  He said yes.  That's tampering???

Did he call Revis? His agent?

Facts are a pesky thing.

Below the Jets, yes below in the left margin there is a GIANTS link to spew your love for your giants.

"We believe the failure by the Patriots and its counsel to produce McNally for the requested follow-up interview violated the club‟s obligations to cooperate with the investigation under the Policy on Integrity of the Game & Enforcement of League Rules and was inconsistent with public statements made by the Patriots pledging full cooperation with the investigation."

What?!?!?

Figures New England Patriots always have something up their sleeve.

Regarding Collins. His first UDFA contract is capped, and he can't make a bunch of money now. So shouldn't his strategy be to only sign a one (maybe two) year deal, and then he can get seriously paid next year? He'd probably make out better than he would have in the 1st round, since the 2nd contract would be totally uncapped and market-rate.

They miss zuccarello, and holtby is playing out of his mind....series isn't over yet

@carlhungus Yeah... Holtby was pretty spectacular tonight. Although it also looked like Rangers lost their confidence once they fell behind, got way less aggressive. Oh well, agreed, aint over yet.

@Brendan If the tweet is accurate then the NFL needs to do the right thing here and let him either enter supplemental draft to re-enter next year.

@Brendan @a57se Especially when every team skipped on him. Like I stated before to me it sounds like collusion between all the teams because of the Hernandez incident.
