The Buffalo Sabres have fired Head Coach Lindy Ruff.

Ruff had been with the Sabres since the 1997-98 season.

He coached Martin Biron and Taylor Pyatt in Buffalo.

Ruff played three seasons at the end of his career for the Rangers.
