According to Larry Brooks, Michael Del Zotto was sent to Hartford and Ryan McDonagh was called up.
I was on a flight, but will check this out asap
thanks to everyone on twitter who sent this my way. It was necessary for Del Zotto to be sent down. He needs to regain that “good confidence” that made him look special at times last year. He can also work on his defense down there but he needs to stop being tentative with the puck and get at least one part of his game going

Torts: "I think eventually (MDZ) will see this is good for him, and bottom line it will be good for the player and for the organization"—

…Short and long-term I think this move will pay off for both sides. Before the season, I thought there were two players who needed to step up to make the Rangers a better team. Brandon Dubinsky has, and Michael Del Zotto has not. He has to look at this with the right attitude. If he takes this demotion badly it could turn ugly, but he is only 20 years old and needs to put into practice all he said recently about nothing being handed to you. The Rangers handed the PP to him last season and took it away because he wasn’t playing well, and his defense may have regressed in recent weeks. For a nice stretch, after that bad start, he was good, now he is gone south and needs to right the ship.
