News: Canucks Sign Benn Ferriero

The Canucks have signed UFA and former Ranger Benn Ferriero.

Ferriero, in his short time with the Rangers, impressed John Tortorella who said “I hought that little sh!! Ferriero played well. I liked his speed and his composure. He has some JAM to him, he is willing to play along the boards. What happens from here I don’t know, but I think he played well.”

Ferriero was traded for Justin Falk and then not qualified by Minnesota. The Rangers were not planning to qualify Ferriero either.

He was acquired for Chad Kolarik shortly after the season started and played four games for the Rangers and had one assist.

For the Whale, Ferriero played 22 games and had four goals and eight assists.
