Marian Gaborik Needs More Than Strength In His Shoulder To Return

Marian Gaborik is due back in the Rangers lineup during the month of November as he recovers from offseason surgery on his shoulder.

While he has been skating and has been rehabbing his shoulder, Gaborik told Pat Leonard of the Daily News that the mental part of his recovery is as important as the physical part.

“It just needs to be strengthened, and I need to be confident. Everything’s gone as planned, so I’m very happy with the progress … I can feel that it’s getting better. So that’s the most important thing.”

With the confidence that Gaborik showed last season, Mike Keenan called him a “lethal weapon.”

Adam Rotter: The way it looks now, Gaborik will probably be ready for Rangers training camp….whenever that is.
