At Howlings, Bruce Berlet talked with Rangers assistant GM Jim Schoenfeld who said that the team doesn’t have a definitive answer from Chris Kreider on what he will do next season.
Schoenfeld says that the organization will respect whatever decision that Kreider makes.
He does say that he believes Kreider is ready to turn pro.
Earlier this month, BC announced that Kreider would return for his junior season.
It should be noted that in April 2010, Wisconsin announced that Ryan McDonagh would be the Captain for this past season and that Derek Stepan would serve as an alternate.
That didn’t happen and until Kreider gives the team a decision saying that he is staying, they will probably try and persuade him to come out.
