Let's see a more physical, offensive forward then Boyle or the slob who got over paid to play for Edmonton. I could care less what he has done in his past. As long as he helps this team now. Which he would.

Give the guy a PTO.

His behavior more comports with that of the NBA.  How is he from the free throw line?

NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Malone's last good season was what, 7 years ago?  The last thing we need is a washed up vet showing the kids the joys of cocaine.

Besides, we have like 11 forwards already trying for 2 open slots and I believe we are at our contract max.

Do we have the roster space for this? I believe we are at our 50 player max

On the bright side, he probably wouldn't have to drive much in New York.

We need some guys with drug and alcohol problems on NYC teams. Ever since Plaxico shot himself, and LT played drunk, and Santonio smoked his own ego, and JR toked up in the MSG Hall of Fame...

I'm fine with bringing in whoever they want on a PTO.... I can't imagine he would make this team and be offered a contract.  Especially with the signing of Hayes I just don't see it.

Takes playing time away from all of our on the cusp NHLers.

If your cusp NHLers gotta play 3rd or 4th line they shouldn't worry about holding them back.

@john connolly @Kevin I get your point, but I have a joke to make anyways... so actually you can, when you hit your contract max and your salary cap! haha

I don't see him bringing anything of value to the team.  Malone is more of a wing than a center so I don't think they view him as a center.  Like I said, if they want to bring him in on a PTO and let him earn a spot in the organization that's fine.  He hasn't been near the top of his game in a while so I just don't see him making the team.
