Pierre LeBrun tweets that the Washington Capitals acquired Jason Arnott for David Steckel and a second round pick.

…and this is the center that everyone thought Washington needed to get.

Arnott told the Devils that he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause to go to the right team.

The Rangers had an interest in Arnott at the draft but wouldn’t move Ryan McDonagh.
