Buzz: The Rangers Could Make A Push For PK Subban If He Hits The Market
According to Bruce Garrioch in the Ottawa Sun, if the Montreal Canadiens are unable to come to terms on a contract with RFA PK Subban and decide to try to trade him, the Rangers will have interest in acquiring him.
He writes that “Detroit, Philly and the Rangers” will make a push for Subban.
Garrioch notes that the Winnipeg Jets have the assets to make a deal for Subban and are looking to bring in an impact player.
Subban wants a five-year deal worth $5.5 million per season.
Subban, 23, 24:18 per game last season and had seven goals and 29 assists.
In 10-11 he had 14 goals and 24 assists in 22:16. In the playoffs in 10-11 he averaged 28:34 per game and had two goals and two assists.
