In his freshman season at Notre Dame, Steven Fogarty had five goals and five assists in 41 games.
He told the Rangers website that he wants to play in the style of Patrice Bergeron of the Bruins and as a player who has strong hockey instincts.
Fogarty also said that he looks up to fellow Minnesota-raised center Derek Stepan and that seeing how the organization develops players and gives them chances motivates him to work harder and be better.
The Fighting Irish Blog said that Fogarty was a “behind the scenes” player for Notre Dame as a freshman and someone who was able to do contribute in both zones.
