Read: Steve Fogarty Took A Big Step Forward Last Season

Rangers 2011 third round pick Steven Fogarty is one of three members of the organization to be invited to the US World Junior evaluation camp in Lake Placid.

At the United States of Hockey, Chris Peters writes that Fogarty is one of the interesting prospects at the camp and he could find himself in the mix to make the team if the two-way game he displayed in the BCHL last season translates.

Peters notes that Fogarty’s development took a big step last season in the BCHL where he had 82 points.

He is 6-2, 194 and was listed as the Rangers “break out” prospect from this season.

He is the ninth ranked Rangers prospect by TSN.

Brady Skjei and JT Miller have also been invited.

Adam Rotter: It seems like only a matter of time before the Derek Stepan comparisons start to fall in. A scoring center from Minnesota who is heading to college (Notre Dame) and has a chance to represent the USA at the World Juniors. If he is close to the player that Stepan is and shown that he can be, the Rangers will have another real find in Fogarty.
