Read: Oscar Lindberg’s Prospect Preview
Lindberg was a second round pick of the Coyotes in 2010.
Regarded mostly as a defensive forward early in his career, the 19 year old has slowly developed into a solid two-way player by becoming more involved offensively.
Hockey Prospectus: Already a Pro Level skater, thinks the game at a solid level, works hard on the ice and has an advanced defensive game. His offensive skills won’t exceed average, and physically he needs to get a little stronger. Otherwise, Lindberg is a dependable player in all three zones and is particularly strong in the face-off circle.
Lindberg has one goal and three assists in four games in the SEL so far this season.

Strengths: Highly skilled skater with deceptive speed and plays all three zones well and is excellent in face-offs. Has a solid work ethic and good on-ice awareness. Does all the little things well and often plays well in big games.
Weaknesses: Needs to get a little stronger to play at the AHL and NHL level, but has the frame to add size without losing speed. Not a natural scorer, but more of a playmaker and will contribute offensively.
Future Analysis: Oscar Lindberg will be a steady NHL player, most likely a third line player with good offensive upside. Think of former Ranger center Sergei Nemchinov, but with more speed.
