I can see Rex using a big dime package this week to cover both TE and WR. Milli/walls outside, AA/finger wag Wilson in the slot and Landry/Pryor over top. Should be able to take care of the 3WR/TE AND THE 4WR SETS THEY BRING OUT

Isn't it his job to do "quite a bit" in practice.  These oft injured players get on my last nerve.  I wish Rex would come out and say "she's getting better" like parcells did.  Maybe it'll light him up.

Jeez, walk away from the new for a few hours...NFL is the hottest soap opera around!

Guy on sporscenter saying it'll be huge for the Packers if Lacy can play. Lol. you can't run on the Jets yo

D Miilner says he's very optimistic about playing sunday. Sounds like D playing sunday to me.

So you guys think milliner is starting? We've got a great shot if we don't shoot ourselves in the foot. Our d has faced the west coast offense a ton now and the packers got the injury bug and oh no james jones

I guess the Mets were feeling left out with all this embarrassing scandal going on elsewhere and felt the need to throw their hat in the ring. Yay.

@bharper42 BTW, after Terry Glenn's monster rookie year, Parcells called him a 'she' and after that Glenn went into a tailspin, with personal issues and poor play, including five arrests in the last seven years. Parcells admitted he made a mistake. Careful what you wish for.

@Disgruntled Jets Fan I think Chris Christie conducted the NFL's in-house investigation. "Any of guys know anything about a videotape? No? OK, we're good then. Anybody want to go for pizza?"

@bob I'd let allen and walls start and then work millner into the game.  The other 2 have more practice time, and game time.  Millner has to get his feet under him not to mention game shape.

And quite frankly i don't think he's any good but we'll see.  I certainly hope i'm wrong though.  As long as we win i don't care who the coaches or players are.

@lagoo Too early to tell if he's even going to play. Today Rex said if he plays he probably won't play a full game (not sure if that means they'd give him rest for an entire drive every few drives, or rotate him in/out), but he was practicing today so that's a good sign that he might be playing on Sunday.

@J. Smooth @MarshRandy

Wait until Eddie Lacy finds out that we've been spending the past few years building up an immunity to iocaine powder.

Brendan
Brendan

@J. Smooth Lacy is good at turning negative runs into positive ones, so he's a big upgrade from Starks if he can play.

Thats not a bad idea cant hurt to see how Walls and AA can do ,and if they do well cant hurt to rest D Millner some more.

My worthless gut says he still sits out.  And that it doesn't matter and we win anyway.

bharper42

@tsjc68 @Brendan @lagoo this i can agree with.  GB defense is bad, their running game is average and the only advantage is home field.  I think our offense can do enough and more to win the game.

Go jets.

@tsjc68 I think he takes a shot and gets in there. The kid plays through pain, so I think they'll have him a gametime decision, test it out and if it feels good they're going to play him.

I believe I've mentioned this before, but a guy who used to work in the same building as my dad was a member of the same country club as the Wilpons. According to him, Jeff is a pompous a**hole and everyone at the club hates him.

Le sigh.

The emerging takeaway from all this is "These sports teams/leagues need more female owners, CEOs, league officials, and commissioners.  Because someone needs to be a diverse voice of reason to say "Yeah, that's not gonna look good.  Don't do that thing you were about to do.""

As a Yankee fan, I feel bad for the Mets.  This is just getting ridiculous.

I also feel bad for Browns fans for suffering through Jimmy Haslam after suffering for years through the Lerner family.

Enough is enough.  I hope someone smart buys that team.

Brendan

@tsjc68 The fact that at least one incident apparently happened in front of the team's lawyer is just...wow. How does that guy not have sirens going off in his head as he's watching that unfold?

.............failure to meet sales goals. Sign this agreement and agree not to take legal action.

Jeff Wilpon is a POS.

This is the problem with giving the keys to the kingdom to children of rich men.  Many of them think they are priveleged and more deserving than others.

Please, please,  please make the Wilpons sell the Mets.  The embarrassment of being a Mets fan under this ownership get worse every day.

I also love that Duke educated Danny Ferry thought it was totally cool to say that "Luol Deng has some African in him, he's the kind of guy who would have legit stuff in the front of the store and then sell you the fake stuff in the back" in a team meeting (in front of one of his bosses who reportedly had been trying to fire him, no less).

People really are morons.

That is my all time favorite line from the Simpsons. Homer is seeing a psychiatrist and the Dr tells him his problem is that Homer hates his father. And Homer says, .....

@bklyndude I'll settle for Jeff being ousted and no longer associated with the team, to be honest. Fred is too old to screw things up.

The fact that they are using sales goals not being met while she was on maternity leave against her is just the most Mets tactic ever. How is that going to hold up in court? And trying to buy her off with "you can finish out the 2014 year!" is really smooth operating, dipsht.

My first day of gym class in my Freshman year of high school, one of the teachers told a fellow freshman of mine that he was a "watermelon head."

Brendan
Brendan

@tsjc68 This obviously doesn't change anything because if it wasn't about Deng it would've eventually been about someone else, but you'd think Ferry would be a little wiser about Deng since Deng also, you know, went to Duke. He's one of the most community-oriented players in the league, it's just astoundingly bad judgement.

Kinda like the scene from Ruthless People where the murderer shows up in the house.

Murderer: "You. You look like my mother."

Bette Midler: "Oh, that's nice."

Murderer: "I HATE MY MOTHER!"

Leaving Jeffy boy in charge is a big enough mistake.   I doubt he would ever fire his son and we can't root for him to die...........that would be wrong,  right ?

That Wilpon-Castergine story is just amazing.

I mean, who the hell really cares THAT MUCH about the fact that a grown-ass woman (who makes more than enough money to support a family) is having a baby without being married?  In 2014?

Jeff Wilpon was legitimately irritated by that.  Who is he, C.Montgomery Burns?  Is Jeff Wilpon 137 years old?  Does he also object to sarsaparilla, as it is brewed from the devil's root?

What the hell is going on here?  What decade is this?

@bklyndude I fully expect to be outlived by Fred Wilpon, and I feel I've got a good 50 years left in me, maybe more.
