Read: Jesper Fasth Is Someone That You Make Room For

Last night 2010 sixth round pick Jesper Fasth had one goal and four assists for HV-71 while Rangers management was in the stands.

Head European scout Anders Hedberg said that Fasth is definitely a prospect and is going to be a “good player.”

Last week Leslie Treff at  HF Rangers Blog ranked Fasth __ in her rankings of the top 20 prospects. She explained that Fasth is someone that is gonna have a spot:

Moving quickly up the list was Jesper Fasth, who put on a show in development camp this summer. Great hands, hockey sense, combined with speed was what we saw over and over again from Fasth. I see him as a second line winger, about two years away from NHL play. The question is whether there will be room for him, but he’s the kind of player, you make room for–he’s that good.

I love this guy. He is my favorite prospect for the sole fact that he plays in Sweden and isn’t seen or talked about that much. There is some mystery about him and the fact that he was a late round pick from Europe makes him so intriguing to me. We have seen what Carl Hagelin, a former sixth round pick from Sweden can do, maybe the Rangers hit another homer with Fasth.

I'm sorry but,I wouldn't do that Bulls trade. They need to add a draft pick or something.

Perhaps Phil will keep Chandler, Bargnani, and STAT and see how they work in the triangle. If they are able to contribute in the system, they can be signed at much lower salaries in 2015. If they aren't a fit, they can possibly moved at the trade deadline.

It might be unpopular here, but having some patience to see who is worth keeping and who isn't would be the long range plan.

Random, but a bulls writer on nba.com brought up this trade scenario which is seemingly interesting and seems to make sense (at least I think it does):

Knicks get: Noah

Bulls get: Tyson, Shump, and Prig

Why it makes sense (from his perspective).  The bulls clear up cap space to make a run at some top FA's next year as Noah doesn't come off the book until 2016 I believe.  Bulls get a center for a year, Shump (who Thibs will get the most out of), and a backup point in Prig who can more or less play Hinrich's role.  Noah is an upgrade to Chandler for the knicks and we can swing another star in 2015 still.

@Sandro Guedes Well if rumors are true (which probably aren't although trading Noah has seemingly be brought up a lot this off-season), they are seemingly so overly infatuated with K-Love that they don't care if they lose Noah.

@barnaby87 This would sound more plausible if they were asking for a scorer, because we all know that the Bulls have no shooters at all. I dont dispute your link or the existence of this article on Bulls.com, but I would seriously question the Bulls organization if they trade Noah the offseason after trading Deng. Its almost like they are sabotaging themselves.

@barnaby87  he would have to good defenders in shump and butler ... maybe we can try to pry butler from them

@barnaby87 Its funny to see a Bulls writer propose trading Noah after his best season for Jimmy Butler light, old man Prigs and an expiring contract, but I would do this trade in a heartbeat if it were proposed. I dont think there is a better Triangle big than Noah in the league.

@barnany87. BarnBoy SUCKS, sorry to tell you... Even if he is meant for the triangle offense, he will get hurt by the midway point, this ruining his trade value at the deadline...

@barnaby87 @Sandro Guedes They sent Deng away for nothing at the deadline, maybe that was a sign that whoever is in charge is losing their mind. That is the only way that I can get on board with this idea being real. Not getting my hopes up. Maybe they will take Bargs for Taj Gibson while they are at it...lol

I don't see Phil trading Chandler for a pick. He is our only legitimate starting center. I would dread seeing a mix of Bargnani, STAT, and Aldrich in the post. If you want to move Chandler, better to hope he gets back to form and move him at the trade deadline to a contender.

The Bulls offered Deng a 3 year $30 million contract and he laughed at it. They decided that he wasn't worth more than that. Cleveland also wasn't able to get him signed as well.

Deng is looking for big money.

These guys see what they want to see. The Bulls writer adds this after laying out of the trade for Noah;

"How could they pass on that? Oh, right, they give up the only good player in the deal."

Knicks_Fanatic

@barnaby87 @Knicks_Fanatic

They take it totally out of context and distort it. Read the whole thing;

I’ve heard this one: The Knicks get Noah and the Bulls get Tyson Chandler, a good expiring deal so they can go after Kevin Love next year, and Iman Shumpert, who is from Chicago and a good defender who Thibs would like and Pablo Prigioni, a good backup point if they lose Augustin and Hinrich. The Bulls gets three for one. How could they pass on that? Oh, right, they give up the only good player in the deal. Just what the Knicks might be thinking regarding Anthony.

It's sarcasm and not intended as a real proposal.

Again, "How could they pass on that? Oh, right, they give up the only good player in the deal."

@Knicks_Fanatic @thatsagoodpoint @illmatix  I agree totally.  I can't believe how much people here undersell Chandler.  He was the #2 player on a championship team and DPOY, and still in his prime - yet people here seem doubtful we could even get a late 1st rounder for him.

@Knicks_Fanatic @therealprof @barnaby87 @Sandro Guedes Cant blame him really, he has been carrying the Bulls offensively forever because of D-Rose's knees. Deng is a legit 2-way talent and deserves to get paid. I wish there was a way to get him in NY, but him being a FA this year pretty much kills that.

@johneco @Knicks_Fanatic @thatsagoodpoint @illmatix Chandler is useless. His offense is nonexistent. He does not protect the rim at all as he got beaten for layups time after time during the season. His rebounding lets a lot to be desired. Overall, a mediocre center both on the offensive and  defensive ends.

@thatsagoodpoint @Knicks_Fanatic @Sandro Guedes @barnaby87

Just to remind everyone, ex-gator Joakim Noah is the current 1st team All-NBA center and DPOY. He is signed for $12.2 million next year and $13.4 million the year after that.

He's not going anywhere. The Bulls even refused to offer Noah in any deal for Melo back when the Knicks trade went down. If they wouldn't trade him for Melo then, they aren't trading him for Chandler, Shump, and Prigs.

@Sandro Guedes @theking @barnaby87 Felton is the worst starting point in the league with a terrible contract.  They can sign a vet pg at the vet's minimum who can outplay him.  JR is a headcase.  And it's about taking poor contracts and sacrificing a pick then it is getting rid of Perkins.

its only 2014. last season of these players contract.

phil is just trying to evaluate their progress no matter

it is a winning or losing season. I didn't get see a lot

of these players showing up in games. phil is aware

of those players lack of knowledge but what could save

this team is trying to fix the roster

@Sandro Guedes @barnaby87 @theking No, misinterpreting my nick young comment.  I'm saying it makes no sense to trade for JR when they could sign Nick Young who is basically the same player (and by the way, not as big of a head case).  Not saying Nick Young is not a headcase, but just making a point that he's just as valuable of a player as JR is
