At the United States of Hockey, Chris Peters looks at 2012 second round pick Boo Nieves and his chances at Team USA’s WJC Evaluation Camp this week.
He writes that Nieves developed in a big way throughout the course of last season and that he will make a serious push for a roster spot .
Peters says that the knocks on Nieves being a perimeter player have gone away and he is starting to show a willingness to “pay the price” for offense.
Nieves has previous USA Hockey experience, playing at the Ivan Hlinka tournament in 2011, and Peters says that he has developed into a “quality prospect.
Buzzing the Net described this goal, from the Ivan Hlinka tournament, as “un-Boo-lievable”
