He has 9 goals and 7 assists for the Whale this season with 60 penalty minutes.

Segal was placed on waivers yesterday so that the Rangers could call him up.

He is on a two-way contract worth $550,000 at the NHL level.

Segal is expected to play for Arron Asham, who is suspended, on Saturday.
