Read: Anthony Duclair was impressive last night for Team Canada

Last night, in Team Canada’s win over the Czech Republic, Rangers prospect Anthony Duclair had a goal and an assist while he skated on a line with two 2014 first round picks, Sam Reinhart and Nick Ritchie. (HC)

Corey Pronman listed Duclair as a player he liked in the first and second periods and said that he scored a highlight reel goal and had a strong game. He added that Duclair was consistent on the ice, was hitting and playing hard. (Pronman)

His goal was called:

  • “particularly impressive” (RDS)
  • A “great goal” where he beat everyone without help. (TVA)
  • “a great rush” (Gord Miller)
  • “dazzling dangle, worth the price of admission” (Buzzing the Net)

Because of his past injury history, Duclair presents a risk for Team Canada at the World Juniors but also showed last night that he can provide a high reward. (Buzzing the Net)
