According to the Ontario Hockey League forward Christian Thomas has been suspended for 10-games due to a five-minute, match penalty he received for high-sticking during the Oshawa Generals game on Sunday against the Saginaw Spirit. Video of the suspension can be seen here.
Thomas was the New York Rangers second-round pick in 2010, and has five goals and 10 points in 13 games for Oshawa this season. Last season the winger scored 54 goals and 99 points in just 66 games, and was named a third-team OHL All-Star.
Earlier this week the OHL announced that Thomas was on its’ roster for the Subway Series that takes place in November.
