Quote: The Role JT Miller Could Have On Team USA

The U.S. needs a player that’s going to provide traffic and a presence in front of the net and play in the difficult areas of the ice. Miller showed he has the ability to be that guy. Consistency has always been a bugaboo for Miller, so it will be important to keep bringing the game he brought today for the rest of the camp.

Chris Peters

The Rangers drafted him for those qualities. They want players that won’t shy away from playing in the “difficult areas” and players that will make them tougher and harder to play against.

J.t had a great Game that is the most important News that came out of this Game.I said about 20 days ago this would be a tough period for us and it has .Buffalo is no joke no more and are well Coached .Trottier looks like He could play today .I also said and get snarks from some that the Islanders have issues, to be a Fan does not mean I have to agree with everything the Org. does,that is being a Homer.Issues that have not been fixed from last Year remain the same. Coaching,Power play and a truly skilled winger to play with J.t.The goal tending is half fixed.That said J.t has been looking like His old self the last Three Games and that is Huge.Looks like He is back from that injury.

Oshie may be on the block for trade

I was happy to see the Isles have the Russian goalie in the world juniors. Sorokin. He may be someone to keep an eye on.

Only four or five years until we can get Linus Soderstrom in here

That was a bad bad loss. Like I'm just shocked at how many leads are blown. There has to be a way to fix this. I still feel mike Keenan should be here. But you just have to get back at it. I would give poulin another game. There are times I'm speechless. Tonight is one of them

Someone else said if Jaro is out it will really hurt this team, with what this team has as backups if that should happen this team does NOT make the playoffs

soon the league will be laughing at this team again, saying well that's the islander team we all know, and laugh at

Someone actually thought we'd be a playoff team with poulin and nabby last year too.

                      Third loss in three weeks when leading by three goals!  Boychuk is overrated! Grabovski will be a compliance buyout after next season! This team doesn't know how to win. This may be the turning point of the season when evertthing went south! If Halak is out for an exrended period this team will not make the playoffs! The shorthanded goal was the backbreaker,  it's a tossup who was worst on the play Boychuk or Poulin? This team will not improve under Capuano!

  I commented a few weeks ago that the Islanders are very lucky that they have a record of 23-11-1 scoring only 10 more goals then they've given up 108-98. The islanders are extremely fortunate to be 12 games over 500 and have 47 points.

You can say what you want but this loss is on poulin a goalie has to make stops in the 3rd especially when you face only 5 frikin shots.

You're joking about Keenan I hope. Might as well see if All Arbour wants to come out of retirement. C'mon.

@dimaio34

if poulin couldn't have a big game ..after what he's been through last year and a uncertain offseason then  getting another shot...no more chances ...gotta go with Johnson...

@TomDinNJ

Yeah, exactly. Did you see him at the post-game press conference? He didn't seem upset, was very nonchalant, was talking as if they won. He needs to raise his battle level.

@caseysdad cappys haircut is there for a reason...to distract the opposition,it seems to have worked quite a bit this season

I don't see it that way Mrc. I see a team with only one goalie playing at an NHL level.

Halak plays this is a W no problem, I think we can all see that. Halak has been good but maybe its time to bring in someone to help him out

@ghostfritz @dimaio34 If Halak is out for any length of time, Poulin will have to play. And with the way Chad has played, we all may be calling for Poulin anyway.

like you said ..this is the first of any moves that might have to be made..

@tonelli27

the fact that Johnson didn't get the start tonight is trouble..shows you the faith they have in him,

@caseysdad @ghostfritz

believe me ..I don't think johnsons any prize...you just have to hope he finds some kinda form he once had.....poulin has never really been good

@ghostfritz @isles23 Ghost the islanders penalty kill is also a glaring weakness 30th and the power play is lost. Also a true top 1st line left winger.

Mitch, its a fixable problem IMO. How many goalies were traded last year? It happens. We don't need a savior or a stud, just someone solid to give us good efforts a couple times a week

@ghost but its not their only one mitch lets be real.

@isles23

<<We don't need a savior or a stud, just someone solid to give us good efforts a couple times a week>>

And everyone thought that CJ would make a fine backup. Isles fans were psyched about the CJ acquisition. We thought we had a solid #1 and #2 in place. We were half right, half wrong.
