Note: Rick Nash Is Part of Team Canada’s Leadership Core

At NHL.com, Dan Rosen looks at potential players for Canada in 2014 and noted that GM Steve Yzerman mentioned Rick Nash when talking about the core leaders for Team Canada.

He has played for Canada in the last two Olympics and Rosen adds that Nash knows the big ice very well.

Nash played on big ice in 2006 in Turin and has played for Canada in the World Championships 4 times, including being the captain in 2011.

He also played a full season in Switzerland in 2004-05 during the lockout and spent half of last season in Switzerland as well.

Nash has 44 points in 34 games in World Championship play and 72 points in 66 Swiss games.
