William Cullen was at the game and sent in his thoughts on the game:

Chris Kreider:

  • “Best player on the ice”
  • “Created a lot of good chances and used his body and speed well”
  • “It was pretty much everything you would hope for and the one penalty he took was because he was sticking up for a teammate.”

Danny Kristo:

  • “Seemed to take some plays off but when he was on….he was good.”
  • “Scored a goal but had a terrible turnover in front of his own net that led to a goal.”

Oscar Lindberg:

  • “Played well in spots but also looked lost. Was able to make some good passes and plays defensively.”

Marek Hrivik:

  • “Created some good opportunities but didn’t really do anything to stand out.”

Dylan McIlrath:

  • “played a very solid game, fought when needed and cleared the crease. His skating and positioning have improved greatly.”
  • “Seems like the game is starting to slow down for him”

Conor Allen:

  • “Solid, consistent game…nothing too flashy but always in the right spot.”
  • “Needs some seasoning but looks like a player that could turn out to be good.”

Other Notes:

  • Aaron Johnson was solid in all areas, played in all situations and is paired with Dylan McIlrath
  • Cam Talbot made some good saves and the goals he gave up were on a 5 on 3 and when Kristo turned the puck over right in front of then net
  • Kyle Jean has all the tools, good hands, good size and speed but needs to put it all together.
  • The lines were:
  • Hrivik Lindberg Kreider
    Masinter Powe Kristo
    Haley Yogan Kantor
    Dupont Jean Bourque

    Johnson McIlrath
    Allen Bickel
    Syvert Hughes
