Note: Michael Del Zotto Was Limping After The Game

Michael Del Zotto left the Rangers bench in the third period last night after taking a hit on the Rangers power play.

Del Zotto was replaced on the PP by Marc Staal who fired a shot that Ryan Callahan put in the net to tie the game.

As Del Zotto went to the bench, Joe Micheletti said that he was having trouble actually getting onto the bench. While on the bench, he sat with his back towards the ice and was talking with medical trainer Jim Ramsay. Shortly after Del Zotto went to the Rangers locker room.

According to the Daily News, Del Zotto was seen limping around in the locker room after the game and said that he didn’t know the extent of what was causing his discomfort.

Del Zotto did not play the final 9:27 of the third period, overtime or participate in the shootout. He played 17:16 last night.
