Buzz: There Is “Hope” For A Michael Del Zotto Contract Tonight

11:32PM: Bob McKenzie says that the Del Zotto talks are ongoing.

The Rangers are not expected to be on the ice until the afternoon.

6:49PM: According to Darren Millard of Sportsnet, there is “hope” that the Rangers and Michael Del Zotto can come to terms on a contract tonight before the start of training camp tomorrow.

Del Zotto has been a guest on Sportsnet’s Hockey Central at Noon which is hosted by Millard.

It was reported this morning that the two sides were around $500,000 to $600,000 apart, per season, on a two-year deal.

Glen Sather said that it is “up to” Del Zotto to decide if he will be in training camp when it starts tomorrow.
