Buzz: Michael Del Zotto May Not Sign In Time For Trianing Camp/Glen Sather’s Thoughts/What Is Being Offered

According to Larry Brooks in the NY Post, the Rangers are believed to be offering Michael Del Zotto a two-year contract worth $2.4 million per  season. He says that Del Zotto is reportedly seeking a two-year deal worth $3 million per season.

Glen Sather told Brooks that the Rangers have made Del Zotto a “very good and very fair” contract offer. Sather added that he doesn’t want  Del Zotto to miss the start of training camp and that “sitting out isn’t going to help him in any way.”

Sather made it known that the ball is in Del Zotto’s court, “We want him here. He knows that. We’ve done what we can. It’s up to him.”
