Read: Marty Biron Isn’t Fazed By Fighting For His Spot

Marty Biron made his first appearance of the preseason last night and while he only made six saves, Alain Vigneault said that most of the Flyers chances were “grade A scoring chances.”

When asked by the competition for the backup goalie job, Biron said yesterday that he isn’t worried and that he knows what he can bring to the team and that his focus all summer has been on showing the new coaching staff what he can do.

After the game, Biron said “I think the urgency is that we have a new coaching staff, new people, and I want to show them what I can do so that they can find the perfect role for me.

Biron told the NY Post that he isn’t bothered by Johan Hedberg being in camp.

Biron is signed for one-more season and has a cap hit of $1.3 million.
