Read: Is Johan Hedberg Competition For Marty Biron

12:16PM: Martin Biron told Larry Brooks and Katie Strang that he is 100% healthy, committed to being a Ranger and ready to compete for a spot.

9:51AM: Katie Strang notes that Biron is expected to skate today and is listed amongst the players who will do so later in the day.

7:15AM: In the NY Post, Larry Brooks writes that Marty Biron may have competition for the backup goalie position from Johan Hedberg who is in training camp on a PTO.

Hedberg agreed to come to Rangers camp on Tuesday after Biron told the team he needed to leave for personal reasons.

Biron is expected in camp today and if he was to be sent down to Hartford, would cost the Rangers $375,000 against the cap since his salary is over $925,000.

Hedberg says that he just wants to make the most out of his PTO with the Rangers but added that he isn’t sure what will come of it.
