At Newsday, Steve Zipay spoke with Derek Dorsett about his rehab from a broken collarbone.
Zipay says that X-rays taken recently show that the break in his collarbone is healing well and that he hopes to start skating next week.
Zipay says that Dorsett is “anxious” to get back on the ice and Dorsett says that he has all of this pent up energy but not being able to be on the ice and make in impact is taking a toll on him.
In describing Dorsett, Zipay says that he is a mix between Brandon Prust and Sean Avery and “a reputation for never taking a shift off, finishing checks and willing to drop the gloves and throw rights with guys far bigger.”
