Note: Brad Richards had x-rays on his fingers last night

Brad RichardsEarly in the third period as he was carrying the puck into the Carolina zone, Brad Richards was slashed on the hand by Eric Staal.

Richards immediately took his hand off the stick, shook it to alleviate the pain and then went to the bench screaming at the referee and slamming the door.

Richards continued to play in the third period, he played 5:46, and picked up the secondary assist on Derek Stepan’s game winning goal.

Richards had an x-ray on his fingers last night but doesn’t think that they will cause a problem for him, “It’s a bit of a stinger while it happens and, hopefully, tomorrow I wake up a little sore and move on.” (North Jersey)

I'm assuming that the radiographs were negative for fractures as this article does not confirm nor deny this.

He's always been very sneaky and subtle about it, but Eric has ALWAYS been an extremely dirty player. He has zero respect for fellow NHL'ers, just look to the hit he put on his own actual brother as evidence. He slowed up and waited for Marc to turn away before leveling him. Baffling that a slash to the hands of the puck carrier is ignored by zebras.  And not long after that, Gerbe delivers an Oscar caliber performance, selling a phantom hook. It really seems like the calls are just not going their way since games have resumed.

Eric Staal is all about hurting Rangers players isn't he? First Marc, now this?
