Read: The Rangers Talk About Visors

Last season, the Rangers had the fewest players in the league wearing visors.

For the Rangers this season, the following players wear visors:

Ryan Callahan, Marian Gaborik, Brad Richards, Derek Stepan, Michael Del Zotto, JT Miller, Steve Eminger, Matt Gilroy, Ryan McDonagh, Rick Nash, Darroll Powe, Carl Hagelin, Jeff Halpern and Anton Stralman.

Dan Girardi, Marc Staal, Brian Boyle, Arron Asham, Taylor Pyatt and Stu Bickel do not wear visors.

Following the incident with Marc Staal last night, Larry Brooks writes in the NY Post that the argument can be made that all players who do not wear visors are “victims in waiting of horrible accidents.”

Rick Nash, who has played his entire career with a visor, told Brooks that he isn’t in favor of making them mandatory.

Brandon Dubinsky said last season that he never wants to wear a visor.

Michael Sauer said last season that he felt that Dion Phaneuf hit his visor and caused his helmet to fly off. He doesn’t think his helmet would have come off if he didn’t have a visor.
