Stats: Oscar Lindberg’s Friday night against Chicago

He played 5:12 in the first period, 3:59 in the second period and 2:15 in the third period.

Lindberg was 4 for 6 against Jonathan Toews on faceoffs.

Alain Vigneault said on Sunday that Lindberg was going to get a good look to make the team, especially with the injury to Matthew Lombardi.

On his mindset, Lindberg says that he wants to play his best hockey, not think to much and enjoy playing. (Rangers)

Lindberg has the talent to be a 60 point player but may end up only as a 40 point guy because he is likely to be a third-line player who has a focus in other areas than scoring. (Dobber Hockey)

Gordie Clark says that Lindberg will be pushing for a job in the NHL soon and that he has a good work ethic and two-way game. (

  • The 2014 Hockey News Yearbook, which has Lindberg ranked 10th, has him being an NHLer in 2015-16.
  • The 2014 Hockey News Future Watch issue calls Lindberg a “two-way” center who has 18-20 goal potential.

News: Oscar Lindberg and Jesper Fast are in Montreal

Oscar Lindberg is with the Rangers in Montreal and it’s between him and Jesper Fast to enter the lineup if Derek Stepan can’t replace JT Miller tomorrow. (Arpon Basu)

Lindberg has been skating with the Rangers black aces. Lindberg would be making his NHL debut if he were to enter the lineup.

He had 18 goals and 26 assists in 75 games for the Wolf Pack this season.

Fast has played in three playoff games this season, the last being game three against Pittsburgh. He has an assist, nine hits and an average of 9:39.
