4:29PM: Steve Zipay says at Newsday that 27 players were skating and in addition to the players listed below, the following players were also skating:
- Forwards: Derick Brassard, Taylor Pyatt, Brad Richards, Derek Dorsett, Dominic Moore, Brian Boyle, Darroll Powe, Arron Asham and Marek Hrivik
- D: Marc Staal, Stu Bickel, Justin Falk, Aaron Johnson
Ryan Callahan didn’t skate and JT Miller has not been around. He notes that Miller is expected to be in NY on Wednesday.
2:08PM: Pat Leonard says that 24 players were skating today and that Alain Vigneault, Scott Arniel and Ulf Samuelsson are all there.
12:10PM The Rangers have sent out a tweet saying that the following players are skating at today’s informal skate.
Forwards: Carl Hagelin, Rick Nash, Mats Zuccarello, Chris Kreider, Ryan Bourque
Defensemen: Dylan McIlrath, Michael Del Zotto, Dan Girardi, Ryan McDonagh
Goalies: Henrik Lundqvist, Marty Biron
According to Carp at Rangers Report, the following players were skating at the Rangers practice facility today:
Forwards: Ryan Callahan, Carl Hagelin, Derick Brassard, Chris Kreider, Ryan Bourque, Rick Nash, Taylor Pyatt, Mats Zuccarello, Derek Dorsett, Brian Boyle, Brad Richards, Dominic Moore and Marek Hrivik.
Defense: Marc Staal, John Moore, Dylan McIlrath, Stu Bickel, Ryan McDonagh, Dan Girardi, Michael Del Zotto, Justin Falk, Aaron Johnson and Anton Stralman.
According to the team’s twitter feed, Marc Staal has joined his teammates at the pre-training camp informal skates.
Staal is said to be skating and wearing a tinted visor.
The forwards taking part in the skate include Rick Nash, Ryan Callahan, Derick Brassard, Carl Hagelin, Mats Zuccarello, Brad Richards, Taylor Pyatt, Chris Kreider, Dominic Moore, Derek Dorsett, Arron Asham and Marek Hrivik.
Henrik Lundqvist is skating as are defensemen John Moore, Ryan McDonagh, Anton Stralman, Michael Del Zotto, Justin Falk, Aaron Johsnon and Stu Bickel.

The Rangers have noted on twitter that Dominic Moore is in Westchester and skating with the Rangers during their informal skates.
Steve Zipay notes that Moore was speaking with former teammate Henrik Lundqvist during the skate.

12:11PM: The Rangers say on twitter that Carl Hagelin is skating today.
They note that Hagelin left the ice when drills and scrimmages started as Hagelin, like Ryan Callahan, can’t take contact for a few more weeks after shoulder surgery in the spring.
Players skating with Hagelin today include: Travis Zajac, Matt Moulson, Henrik Lundqvist, Dan Girardi, Derek Dorsett, Brad Richards, Derick Brassard, Brian Boyle, Chris Kreider, Anton Stralman, Michael Del Zotto, John Moore and Marek Hrivik.
8:34AM: According to the Rangers website, Derick Brassard Anton Stralman, John Moore and Marek Hrivik have joined the group of Rangers who have been skating informally together.
They, along with Henrik Lundqvist, Dan Girardi and Mats Zuccarello, were on the ice Monday.
Brad Richards, Michael Del Zotto, Rick Nash and Derek Dorsett have also been around and skating.
Richards and Dorsett were at Richards’ golf tournament yesterday and Nash is in Calgary at the Hockey Canada camp.
3:09PM: Girardi told the Rangers website that he decided to go back to wearing a visor because of what happened to Marc Staal last season and how an injury like that doesn’t just have an impact on your game, but on your whole life.
12:39PM: The Rangers have noted on twitter that Dan Girardi is skating today at the MSG Training center with a visor attached to his helmet.
Girardi wore a visor in junior hockey and during his early days with the Rangers.
He seemed to lose the visor as he entered his first full season with the Rangers in 2007-08.
The Rangers, besides Marc Staal who will now wear a visor, who don’t wear a visor are Brian Boyle, Taylor Pyatt, Arron Asham and Derek Dorsett.
12:58PM: From Russo, “Ryan McDonagh just stickhandled by 3 guys and scored a sick top-shelfer thru traffic.”
12:40PM: Michael Russo of the Star Tribune notes that Ryan McDonagh is one of about 35 players taking part in a skate today at the Octagon Hockey camp in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
Russo notes that other players such as Zach Parise, Keith Ballard and Dustin Byfuglien are there as well.
One of McDonagh’s agents, Chris McAlpine, noted on twitter yesterday that McDonagh helped his team come from behind to win in a scrimmage yesterday.
Many Rangers have already started skating together in New York.
