Original Post: Bob McKenzie tweets that the teams with the most interest in Rick Nash are starting to switch their focus to other targets and don’t think that the will be traded by the deadline.
McKenzie adds that it could just be a negotiating tactic by Columbus.

Dreger adds that Columbus hasn’t talked with Toronto and that their defenseman Jake Gardiner, like Michael Del Zotto, is untouchable.
According to Larry Brooks in the NY Post, Glen Sather has held firm on the fact that he won’t trade 2009 first round pick Chris Kreider in a deal for Rick Nash.
Brooks says that Sather has agreed to include defenseman Tim Erixon in the deal but won’t trade Michael Del Zotto or Ryan McDonagh.
He says that the it is unclear if Sather is willing to include 2011 first round pick JT Miller in a package that would also include Brandon Dubinsky and a first round pick.
Brooks does add that if the Rangers don’t move Erixon and don’t acquire a defensemen by tomorrow’s deadline, Erixon could get called up for a playoff run.

Friedman added that Columbus is only going to deal Nash if they get the deal that they want.

Update: 5:09PM: On TSN, Bob McKenzie says that the Rangers are holding firm that they won’t trade Michael Del Zotto and Ryan McDonagh. They won’t trade a roster defensemen.
McKenzie says that the Rangers are willing to offer players like Artem Anisimov and Brandon Dubinsky off the roster.
