Cam Talbot bounced back for the Rangers last night, presented by Long Island University

Cam Talbot stopped 26 of 29 shots last night in the Rangers win over Colorado.

Alain Vigneault said that Talbot played “extremely well” and had to make a bunch of big saves in the third period when the Avs started to “blitz” the Rangers. Vigneault said that Talbot gave the Rangers a chance to battle back and win the game. (MSG)

Joe Micheletti said that it was Talbot’s best game since taking over for Henrik Lundqvist and “he looked like a different goalie” from the one who played in Toronto. Micheletti said that Talbot was “excellent” and looked confident and like he had his swagger back. (MSG)

Dave Maloney said  that Talbot was “tremendous,” made a bunch of “second saves” and has helped the Rangers pick up 7 points out of a possible 10 without Lundqvist. (MSG)

Marc Staal said that Talbot didn’t seem happy with his game in Toronto but against the Avs he was confident and gave the team a lot of confidence. (MSG)

Talbot said that this was his best game recently, saying that he was making a lot of the key saves. (Daily News)

Talbot has stopped 116 out of 131 shots in the past five games.
