  • On Marc Staal, “Marc at this time is being treated for neck issues which are causing him to have some symptoms. We are not sure if the symptoms are caused because of the neck issues from the hit last night. Obviously with his history we are taking every precaution but we will likely know more in the next day or two.”
  • He won’t play tonight, “no”
  • Who is in his place, “Michael”

  • Same lineup, “One change up front. We will have Pouliot in for Dominic Moore.”
  • Reason, “we brought in Dom for obvious reasons, his leadership, how he plays defensively and how he kills penalties and the last 3 or 4 games his play has slipped a little and we felt that we wanted to make a change.”
  • On the effort, “last night. It’s a hard fought game by two teams and there isn’t a lot of room out there. Chances are…they end up 12-12. We didn’t…they didn’t get a lot in the third, we didn’t get a lot in the third but they capitalized on a few mistakes…obvious mistakes and in the OT we took a careless high sticking penalty. It was a hard fought game by both teams and we had it there for us. We didn’t get manhandled in the third. They had 3 chances and capitalized on two.”
  • Did Marc Skate this morning to see how he felt, “No.”
  • Are you concerned about Dorsett’s wrist, “shouldn’t be. He had an MRI the day we came back from Buffalo on Friday. It’s supposed to be a bruise and a day to day thing.”
  • What is the next step with Marc, “I can’t say what the plan is. Not sure if he will come in tonight and be checked on. I don’t know.”
