Earlier this week, Dan Girardi was asked by the Rangers website about his teammate Marc Staal.
Girardi said, “I think anything is possible for Marc this year. If he is playing well he will be leading the team back there.”
In the Daily News, Staal said that he wanted to continue playing like he did during the playoffs when he was averaging 25:17 a night.
John Tortorella added that there was a time during the playoffs last tear when Staal started to look like the player he was before his concussion, “As he started to get his minutes, there was a time during the playoffs when he was really good. That is where I thought he made really good strides as a player, but we need more. He is still a young man and hopefully he can keep improving. He is a really good player and has room to keep on improving.”
