Miller told the Rangers website “I felt good and felt more comfortable as the game went on.”
He added, “I got the experience last year which really helped me so I knew what to work for all summer coming into the season. I learned that you just need to stick with it and treat your body well. I learned that you needed to be in the top physical shape out there and there is no room for error.”
The Rangers website wrote “He also created several other chances with confident one-on-one moves and slick passes to his linemates, and his physical game was as advertised” and added that he didn’t look out of place for a kid of only 19.
Earlier in training camp, Jim Schoenfeld said “right now we think he is physically ready to play in the American level. Mentally and emotionally he isn’t intimidated. His skill level is high enough to play here. I think that the best place for him to develop would be with the Whale but we haven’t made that decision yet.”
