At the United States of Hockey, Chris Peters says that the maturation of JT Miller into an older and wiser player could lead him to having a very promising career at the NHL level.
He says that when Miller was a younger player in the US National Program he played “like a bull in a china shop, running around the ice sometimes looking like there was no game plan.”
Now, he says, Miller is a player with good vision and “an expert” in creating time and space using either his body or his feet, or both. Peters says that Miller can play on the power play, the penalty kill and has the ability to work as a primary set-up man or the go-to scorer for a team.”
Miller has 2 goals and 5 assists for the Whale this season in 17 games. He is a -4 and has 25 shots on goal.
