At the United States of Hockey, Chris Peters continues his excellent work looking at the players USA Hockey will bring to the WJC evaluation camp.
While looking at the forwards, Peters writes this of JT Miller:
He can play center or wing, and contribute offensively. Meanwhile, Miller is strong and physical, never one to shy away from contact. His 6-2, 195-pound frame are perfect for Team USA, which has a multitude of smaller guys in camp. He knows how to use his body and skates with power.
I feel that that perfectly describes why Miller was drafted by the Rangers. That is everything that John Tortorella wants in his players and we saw how competitive and good Miller was in Traverse City. He seems like someone that was built to play under John Tortorella.
