Henrik Lundqvist spoke yesterday, prior to the team leaving for Philly, about his approach for tonight’s game six in Philadelphia.
Lundqvist said that his focus is entirely on what he needs to do and if he does that “hopefully the result will be what we want, what I want.” (Rangers)
Lundqvist added, “the playoffs are a mind game. It’s about controlling your mind. Expectations from yourself, your teammates and everyone around you but also in how you approach things and in a game where you can close things out you don’t want your mind to start thinking too much, it’ will be the same thing for them. It’s about controlling your emotions and staying in the right place mentally.” (Rangers)
