Buzz: Derick Brassard Could Be In The Lineup Tonight

4:57PM: Jeff Rimer, the Blue Jackers play by play man, tweets “Just talked to Brassard Moore and Dorsett as they boarded a private plane to head to New York. Both Brassard and Moore will play4 #NYR 2nite”

4:45PM: Katie Strang notes on twitter that Derick Brassard is en route to NY right now and could be available tonight when the Rangers play the Penguins.

Adam Rotter: I was told, but haven’t been able to confirm, that both Brassard and John Moore are going to be in the lineup tonight. It’s a 7:30PM start so that buys them a little extra time to get to NY, get to MSG and play.

Brassard, 25, has seven goals and 18 assists this season in 34 games this season.

He has 53 hits, is averaging over 16:3o per game and is 6-1, 202lbs.

Brassard has goals in two straight games. He was the sixth overall pick in 2006 by Columbus.

The Rangers were rumored to be looking at Brassard earlier in the season.
