3:09PM: Girardi told the Rangers website that he decided to go back to wearing a visor because of what happened to Marc Staal last season and how an injury like that doesn’t just have an impact on your game, but on your whole life.
12:39PM: The Rangers have noted on twitter that Dan Girardi is skating today at the MSG Training center with a visor attached to his helmet.
Girardi wore a visor in junior hockey and during his early days with the Rangers.
He seemed to lose the visor as he entered his first full season with the Rangers in 2007-08.
The Rangers, besides Marc Staal who will now wear a visor, who don’t wear a visor are Brian Boyle, Taylor Pyatt, Arron Asham and Derek Dorsett.
