On March 30th, the Rangers signed goalie Cameron Talbot out of the University of Alabama Huntsville.
Today its Talbot’s turn to get profiled as one of the Rangers 20 Prospects In 20 Days.
He was so under the radar that Hockey’s Future doesn’t seem to have any mention of him anywhere. He has an interesting story and one that is easy to get behind, especially if he continues to play well.
I find it interesting that him and Scott Stajcer said roughly the same thing, which is that they feel more comfortable and play better when they face 40 or so shots. It gets them more focused and into the zone, but it’s also more opportunities against. I guess it’s better to be constantly facing shots and staying fresh that way than having to do it on your own and only face a few.
