Read: The Rangers Feel Like They Finally Have A Power Play

RANGERS11The Rangers have scored PP goals in three straight games and eight PP goals in the last nine games.

Brad Richards was asked about the PP and said, via Rangers Report,”It feels like a power play, it didn’t feel like a power play last year….I can’t remember the year before. We have a purpose out there. It’s the same PP every night, we can work together on it. it’s good in practice, we work together everyday on it, everyone on it is communicating and has a voice on it. It’s fun to be cohesive like that.”

Joe Micheletti said that the players on the power play are doing a good job at reading what the penalty killers are giving them and adjusting to give themselves the best chance to score.

Dan Girardi said that the PP has been great and creating a lot of momentum.

John Giannone asked Richards after the game to describe the 5 on 3 goal that Mats Zuccarello and scored and said, “they took away the one timer, they took it away twice so we had Zucc pop out there and we knew it would be open and he said he would try to get some wood on it. You get the goalie moving side to side like that and you get it on net it’s ether a rebound for Cally but it went through his armpit and that’s what happens when you get the goalie going side to side.”

On Sunday night, John Tortorella was asked about the Canucks power play and said “our power play sucked.”

The Canucks have one power play goal in their last seven games.
