Read: The Canucks Owner On Alain Vigneault and John Tortorella

In the Vancouver Province, Ed Willes spoke with Canucks owner Francesco Aquillini about the team’s decision to hire John Tortorella.

Aquillini said that Alain Vigneault is a “great coach” and someone that he has great respect for but that he has his style and John Tortorella has his.

He says that it’s hard to tell which style is better and that the difference comes down to results and that John Tortorella wasn’t hired “because of his style but because of his results.”

Aquilini says that Tortorella is more interactive with his players, engages them more and that his biggest problem in New York was that “one reporter.”
